Calendula Salve
Calendula plants are one of our favorites to grow not only for companion planting but also because of the healing powers this plant contains. It has anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to soothe so many skin ailments.
Calendula has been used by herbalists, and homesteaders for centuries to heal skin and infections. Calendula works by promoting cell repair and growth, along with its natural antiseptic, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. And the best part of it all is that it is gentle!!!
what can this salve be used for?
Calendula salve can be used to ease, heal or otherwise treat a huge array of skin conditions. According to the Chestnut school of herbs, this includes rashes, sunburn, swelling, eczema, acne, stings, wounds, burns, scraps, chickenpox, and cold sores.
We have personally used this salve to help our girls ease itching from a big bite, rashes, eczema, dry skin, chafed skin and to heal scabs plus much more.
Ingredients: calendula infused in sweet almond oil, shea butter, beeswax and camomile essential oil.
